Massachusetts Program Overview
The legislative and regulatory authorities in Massachusetts continue to
keep healthcare cost-reduction efforts front and center for all
stakeholders. Through legislation and an active payment reform
commission, the mandates for change are out there and providers are
actively seeking ways to meet them. At this year’s Mid-Winter
Leadership Forum we will take a closer look at the latest cost-saving
innovations in healthcare from several perspectives. We’ll hear
from noted Harvard economist David Cutler, Ph.D., on the key components
to meaningful cost reductions from a system perspective.
We’ll also hear from an influential hospital, Virginia Mason
Medical Center, which is leading the way by pursuing perfection in
healthcare in the leanest ways possible. We’ll also feature a
panel of employers who will discuss the emerging health benefit/wellness
options being considered that aim to save costs while keeping people
healthier. You won’t want to miss this year’s program
