The internet continues to evolve and the possibilities for hospitals to use this great tool are immense. From an HR perspective, recruiting has become a new world and sites like LinkedIn and Facebook offer many resouces for screening and hiring employees. Social media also provides hospitals with limitless opportunities for grassroots exposure and marketing for their services and specialties. Using the web and social media tools can also pose challenges to a hospital’s security and can raise HIPAA concerns. Many of our hospitals have come to us with questions about best practices in social media, and this program will seek to provide the latest information to hospital PR/HR professionals about the most effective and pragmatic use of social media. The program will also feature a session taught by legal counsel from Seyfarth Shaw, along with another session taught by a social networking expert very familiar with the hospital world. We’ll end the program with an interactive discussion designed to talk more in-depth about social media in practice and to give the audience an opportunity to question experts and designees from hospitals with advanced social networking experience. We hope you will join us!
