The 2011-2012 Massachusetts legislative session is in full swing. There are 47 new legislators on Beacon Hill and a variety of new faces in leadership roles. Reform of the healthcare delivery and payment system is certain to be a primary topic of debate and the hospital community will need to maintain active communication with all legislators. Budget debates and legislative hearings on a variety of other issues of interest and concern to hospitals will also require regular communication with your elected officials.

To guide your navigation of the legislative process and assist your advocacy efforts, MHA has developed the following two documents.
