Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association Patient Partnership in Action: BMC’s Advisory Council Model

The newly required CMS Hospital Patient Safety Structural Measure (PSSM) under the Inpatient Quality Reporting program is structured into five domains, of which Measure 5 focuses on involving patients and families in safety initiatives and providing them with access to medical records, among other things. In this webinar, learn about Boston Medical Center’s (BMC’s) efforts to meet the objectives of Measure 5.
Participants will:
- Learn about connecting with Patient and Family Advisory Council members to integrate the patient voice in hospital committees, events, and partnerships.
- Discuss challenges and opportunities for incorporating the patient and family voice, and review concrete examples of how BMC is successful in this area.
