DESCRIPTION:This event has concluded. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMassachusetts is a national leader in advancing age- and dementia-friendly communities\, policies\, and programs\, which benefit people of all ages – and the movement continues to grow. With a statewide and cross-sector network\, the Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative (MHAC) supports and monitors hundreds of local\, regional\, and state-level initiatives that improve social and physical environments for older adults. MHAC connects and convenes a range of partners to promote age- and dementia-friendly resources\, tools\, and funding. All of this\, plus the data and local feedback that powers this movement\, provides opportunity and resources for healthcare and hospital stakeholders. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTakeaways: \n\n\n\n\n\n• Learn about the progress of the age- and dementia-friendly movement on a statewide\, regional\, and local level; \n\n\n\n• Access data and tools that can inform programming and partnerships; and \n\n\n\n• Connect to partners in your community that are planning and implementing locally informed age- and dementia-friendly efforts.

SUMMARY:ReiMAgine Aging 2030: The Massachusetts Plan
DESCRIPTION:Register Here\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn the last 10 years\, the population in Massachusetts has changed dramatically. Older adults aged 60+ now represent nearly one out of every four people in the state. The older adult population spans a full five decades\, ranging from people in their 60s to centenarians. Each decade brings its own set of evolving needs shaped by life experiences\, health\, disability status\, and social and economic status. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this session\, learn what the state is doing to strengthen its policies and services to support the growing aging population. Additionally\, learn what hospitals and health care systems can do to prepare for this demographic shift. \n\n\n\nThis event will not be recorded and no post-event slides or resources will be shared.
