SUMMARY:Understanding the Midterm Election Results: A Healthcare Outlook
DESCRIPTION:A bipartisan team of lobbyists from MHA’s member firm in D.C.\, Alston & Bird\, will break down the election results and provide some early intel on what it means for hospitals. There will be a summary of the November 2026 election\, a focus on the Massachusetts delegation\, and implications for healthcare policy. \n\n\n\nKey Takeaways: \n\n\n\n\nSummary of November 2026 election\n\n\n\nMassachusetts delegation highlights\n\n\n\nImplications for health care policy\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Closing the Gaps: Strategies for Women's and Family Health
DESCRIPTION:Massachusetts health systems are facing a pivotal moment in women’s and family health — both as employers trying to retain talent and as care delivery organizations navigating major reimbursement changes. Join Maven Clinic for a session on where gaps in fertility\, maternity\, and menopause care show up most for hospital workforces\, and what the upcoming CPT 2027 maternity code unbundling means for health systems’ revenue cycle and care delivery model. \n\n\n\nKey Takeaways \n\n\n\n\nWhere the biggest gaps in women’s and family health benefits show up in health system workforces  and what it’s costing systems in turnover\, absenteeism\, and claims spend.\n\n\n\nWhat’s changing in maternity reimbursement starting January 1\, 2027: the shift from global OB codes to unbundled\, service-level billing\, and why 2026 is the year to prepare (documentation\, payer contracts\, revenue-cycle workflows).\n\n\n\nHow virtual\, high-touch women’s health support (fertility\, maternity\, parenting\, menopause\, and more) can help health systems both as an employer benefit and as a complement to their care delivery strategy.

SUMMARY:Closing the Loop: How UMass Memorial Health Built Surveillance Programs for Aortic Aneurysms\, Adrenal Nodules\, and Spine Care
DESCRIPTION:Incidental findings like aortic aneurysms and adrenal nodules show up on imaging every day\, and many patients never get the follow-up they need. At UMass Memorial Health\, a surveillance program driven by Natural Language Processing (NLP) has screened nearly 8 million radiology reports since 2021 and brought more than 500 patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms into guideline-based care. Two-thirds of them had never been followed at all. The program has produced more than 1\,100 new clinic visits\, over 1\,000 follow-up imaging studies\, 52 aneurysm repairs\, and $3.6 million in direct contribution margin\, with those results published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery. In this session\, UMass Memorial Health shares how it built the program with Illuminate and extended the model to thoracic aortic aneurysms\, adrenal nodules\, and spine care. You’ll hear how the team finds patients in radiology and EMR data\, assigns clinical ownership for follow-up\, brings lost patients back into care\, and scaled the program to a newly acquired community hospital\, where it delivered five aneurysm repairs in the first 15 months. \n\n\n\nAudience takeaways \n\n\n\n\nApply a practical framework for finding\, tracking\, and closing the loop on incidental findings and other at-risk patients\, from the radiology report to the right specialist.\n\n\n\nIdentify the operational elements that sustain a surveillance program: clinical ownership\, navigation workflows\, and service-line partnership across a multi-hospital system.\n\n\n\nMeasure program impact the way UMass Memorial Health does\, through re-engaged patients\, follow-up imaging\, clinic visits\, and procedures\, and use those results to make the case for growth across service lines.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here
