Michael Sroczynski, Interim President & CEO
As MHA’s Interim President and CEO, Mike Sroczynski represents the collective voice of more than 100 Massachusetts hospitals, health systems, and partners across the sector. He has helped guide the region’s healthcare community through some of its most consequential issues during his more than 25 years at the association. Mike works closely with MHA’s Board of Trustees and member leaders to align their shared goals of high-quality, accessible, innovative care delivery, while overseeing the work of MHA staff to advance those goals throughout the state.
In addition to his leadership of the Hospital Association of Rhode Island, Mike previously served as MHA’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel. He played an integral role in the healthcare system’s success through Massachusetts’ nation-leading adoption of universal health coverage, its response to COVID-19 and numerous other public health crises, and landmark policies centered around care coordination, payment structure, and workforce development.
Mike’s deep roots in New England healthcare have expanded MHA’s representation, broadened its network of advocacy and strategic partners, and strengthened its reputation as a trusted policy partner on behalf of patient and caregiver needs.
Mike serves on the boards of the Professional Liability Foundation and the Massachusetts Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. He is also a member of the New England Council’s healthcare committee and is a past chair of the American Hospital Association’s state association government relations officer group.
Mike is a graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law and the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
