On August 28, 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published the 2025 Medicare Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) final rule.
During this virtual program, we’ll discuss the final rule’s key provisions and their impact on hospitals and other providers. Topics to be covered include:
• Rate increases and wage index changes
• New mandatory episodic payment model (Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM))
• Updated quality measure reporting requirements
• Changes to value-based purchasing and Promoting Interoperability programs
• New payments for buffer stocks of essential medicines
• Severity designation of Z-codes for housing inadequacy/instability
• Respiratory disease reporting requirements
