Building bridges to the healthcare profession.

MHA’s HEALTHCAREers Academy connects aspiring healthcare professionals with the training, skills, and connections they need to enter the workforce. The Academy is one element of MHA’s effort to grow and support the healthcare profession in Massachusetts.

HEALTHCAREers uses an innovative model, bridging every step along the workforce development journey through a single program.

How it works:

MHA works with community colleges to identify a diverse cohort of students interested in filling high-need positions.

MHA connects students with higher education programs to receive expedited, job-ready training at no cost to them.

Participants also receive training in professionalism, communication, and goal-setting.

MHA connects graduates with healthcare organizations for potential employment.

The inaugural cohort will train ten students to become Behavioral Health Technicians, who serve as essential members of the care team. MHA will look to expand the program to fill other high-needs areas in healthcare.

MHA is funding the scholarships for the pilot program and offering follow-up services to participants after the 12-week cycle concludes.
