As described in this Boston Business Journal article yesterday, Hebrew SeniorLife is creating the Lunder CareForce Institute to train frontline care workers.

HSL says it is working toward state certification of its nursing assistant and licensed practical nurse training programs, and hopes to train more than 3,000 workers over the next decade.

HSL’s CNO and VP of Patient Care Services Tammy Retalic will step down from her current roles to lead the institute, which will receive funding support from the Maine-based Lunder Foundation.

According to the BBJ, “The program will begin at HSL’s Roslindale campus, but aims to use technology and partnerships with other providers at skilled nursing facilities to expand across the state.”
