Mass General Brigham has named Claire Seguin, DNP, as president and chief operating officer of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Seguin brings more than 30 years of clinical experience and two decades of executive leadership to the position. She is board-certified in oncology nursing and holds a doctoral degree in nursing from Northeastern University, along with an NEA-BC from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

She currently serves as CNO and Vice President of Operations at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, and as Interim Vice President of Operations for the Mass General Brigham Community Division, supporting nursing practice and operational alignment across multiple community hospitals.

Prior to joining Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, Seguin served as Associate Chief Quality Officer at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also is a clinical lecturer at Harvard Medical School and an adjunct faculty member at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She is a graduate of the Massachusetts Health Leadership College and is currently a 2027 fellow in the Health Management Academy.

Seguin succeeds Denise Schepici, MPH, who has served as president and chief operating officer since 2018.

“As we look to the future, my priorities include continuing to improve access to care, strengthening and modernizing our primary care services, and continuing to partner with Island organizations to address the issues we know affect health—tick-borne illness as a public health crisis, food and housing insecurity and, elder transportation,” Seguin said. “We are also committed to making investments in our facilities so that patients, residents, and staff have the environment and resources they need.”
