MEMBER MOMENTS: Recognition Days, Weeks, and Months

Throughout the year, the healthcare community responds to various recognition days, weeks, or months. For example, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which prompted Tufts Medical Center to note its collaboration with EBeauty Community, Inc., to provide free wigs for cancer patients. “Hair loss can be a really complicated, emotional part of treatment for many of our patients and being able to provide this service is just one way our team strives to provide patient-centered care,” says TMC’s Elizabeth Hazel.
This week – the third full week in October – is traditionally Medical Assistants Recognition Week, which Cambridge Health Alliance noted with a posting on X, featuring some of its assistants (photo at right).
South Shore Health also noted Medical Assistants Recognition Week with an X posting.
CHA also noted the fact that the third full week of October also happens to be Pharmacy Week.

And did you know that October is also Physical Therapy Month? Holyoke Medical Center remembered and posted this picture of its CORE Team, while reminding the public that it has rehab locations in Holyoke, Springfield, and Chicopee.
