Earlier this month, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Sturdy Health opened a new clinic in Attleboro, offering expanded outpatient medical oncology and hematology care for patients in Southern Massachusetts. Dana-Farber will operate the new ambulatory cancer clinic within the newly constructed Sturdy Health Specialty Care Building on the Sturdy Health campus.

The new center has 10 exam rooms and 17 infusion beds, and offers genetic counseling, clinical trials, nutrition guidance, social work support, and other supportive services.

Attleboro Mayor Cathleen DeSimone, Senator Paul Feeney, Representative James Hawkins, and Representative Adam Scanlon visited the new clinic at the ribbon-cutting event.

Boston Business Journal reports that BJ’s Wholesale Club has donated $500,000 to the Marlborough campus of UMass Memorial Health. It is the largest donation the Marlborough campus has ever received and will help pay for the renovation and expansion of the emergency room.

The Marlborough hospital will expand from 13 to 23 ED patient rooms and will add two new trauma rooms, among other improvements.

The renovation began in October 2025, is expected to be complete by year’s end, and will open in early 2027.
