Preparing for the Mandatory Attestation and NPI Requirements for Off-Campus Hospital Outpatient Departments
This event has concluded.
Section 6225 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026 imposes new requirements on hospitals to comply with Medicare attestation requirements and to secure a unique national provider identifier (NPI) for their off-campus outpatient departments by December 31, 2027 – or face payment rejections. What was once voluntary is now mandatory, and hospitals may be unprepared to become compliant within such a short timetable.

Attend this webinar to:
- Understand the new statutory requirements
- Anticipate advocacy from the sector and potential CMS responses
- Avoid loss of grandfathered status under site-neutrality rules in responding to new Consolidated Appropriations Act requirements
- Learn practical strategies and steps hospital need to take now to avoid any payment disruptions or other negative collateral consequences for failure to comply
