Priority Legislation

  • Capturing a Crisis

    At any given time, more than 500 behavioral health patients are boarding in Massachusetts hospitals as they await the specialized inpatient placements they need.

    The state’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) oversees the statewide system of prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services for individuals, families, and communities affected by substance addiction.
